Adaptation and continuous improvement
The AIGDD ensures that the experience gained during programmes and projects is not confined to the final reports.
The AIGDD ensures that the experience gained during programmes and projects is not confined to final reports. Lessons learnt from implementation, evaluations and stakeholder feedback are capitalised upon in order to identify what should be retained, corrected or rethought.
This process informs the development of management methods, tools and practices. Recurring challenges, tried-and-tested solutions and promising practices can thus be incorporated into the design of new initiatives or the review of existing schemes.
The challenge is to develop institutions capable of learning from their own experience, adjusting their approaches and progressively improving the quality of their work.
Learning thus becomes a genuine driver of institutional transformation, rather than merely a final stage of a programme.
