The AIGDD organises its activities on the basis of methodological frameworks that ensure consistency between governance, strategy, planning, resources, implementation and results. These frameworks provide a common basis for structuring approaches, harmonising practices and ensuring the sound management of programmes and projects.

In particular, they cover institutional assessment, strategic planning, the theory of change, results-based management, project and portfolio management, monitoring and evaluation, risk management, data quality, performance auditing and knowledge capture. Their application is tailored to the institutional, national, regional or sectoral contexts of each intervention.

The methods selected thus ensure continuity between initial decisions, the responsibilities undertaken, the resources mobilised and the results actually monitored. They provide teams and decision-makers with a structured, comparable and usable framework throughout the intervention cycle.

This methodological framework enhances the quality of practices without imposing a uniform model on the institutions receiving support.
