Data protection

What information this website collects, why, for how long, and how to exercise your rights.

Principle

The Agency collects only the data necessary to process the requests submitted to it. This website does not engage in profiling, advertising or the resale of data.

What information is collected when you visit the website

Simply viewing the pages does not place any advertising trackers or call upon any third-party services: fonts, graphics libraries and scripts are hosted by the site itself.

There is one exception, which we acknowledge and have highlighted: the map on the dashboard displays background maps provided by OpenStreetMap. When this map is displayed, your IP address is transmitted to OpenStreetMap’s servers. The other pages on the site do not send any requests to third parties.

A session cookie is set if you log in to an account. It is necessary for the login to function and is deleted when you log out.

What the forms collect

There are five forms used to collect data, and these are the only ones:

  • Submit a project or programme — details of the applicant organisation, contact details of the person in charge, description of the initiative, attachments;
  • Proposing a partnership — details of the institution, contact details of the person in charge, description of the proposal, attachments;
  • Respond to a call for contributions — identification of the applicant, contact details, proposed contribution, references, attachments;
  • Request a meeting — details of the institution, contact details of the applicant, purpose of the meeting, attachments;
  • Contact — name, organisation, email address, telephone number, country and message.

This data is used to process the enquiry and respond to it, and for no other purpose. The legal basis is your consent, which is explicitly obtained upon submission, and the Agency’s legitimate interest in processing enquiries addressed to it.

Attachments

Documents submitted via the forms are stored in a non-public area: their address alone is not sufficient to open them, and accessing them requires authentication and authorisation. This is verified upon receipt.

Shelf life

[To be completed by the Agency: retention periods applied to each category of request]

In the absence of a specified retention period, the following principle applies: a request is retained for the duration of its processing and, where applicable, for the duration of the institutional relationship it gives rise to. A request that is not acted upon is not intended to be retained indefinitely.

Who has access to your data

Applications are reviewed by Agency staff responsible for processing them. They are neither sold, nor rented out, nor passed on to third parties, unless required by law.

Website hosting and email delivery involve technical service providers, who do not use this data for their own purposes.

[To be completed by the Agency: details of technical subcontractors (web host, email delivery service)]

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and object to the processing of your personal data, as well as the right to withdraw your consent at any time.

To exercise these rights, please write to contact@iamdd-international.org, quoting the reference number for your request, which is shown in the acknowledgement of receipt.

[To be completed by the Agency: contact details of the Data Protection Officer, if one has been appointed, and the competent supervisory authority]
