Evaluation of results and impact

The AIGDD organises the evaluation of interventions on the basis of criteria that enable an assessment of their relevance, coherence, effectiveness, efficiency, impact and sustainability.

The AIGDD organises the evaluation of interventions based on criteria that enable an assessment of their relevance, coherence, effectiveness, efficiency, impact and sustainability. The analyses distinguish between outcomes directly attributable to the intervention and the changes to which it contributes.

Evaluations may take place at various stages of the cycle: baseline assessment, mid-term review, final evaluation or impact analysis. They are based on documented methods, verifiable data and a structured analysis of the discrepancies between the stated objectives and the results actually observed.

The conclusions drawn are used to assess the quality of the intervention, to identify factors contributing to success or underperformance, and to guide future decisions. Where conditions permit, they also inform case studies, performance summaries and institutional knowledge management.

Evaluation thus makes it possible to distinguish between what has been achieved, what has actually changed and what can reasonably be attributed to the intervention.
